When Wood Cottage, now renamed Bhavana Dhamma, became available to purchase it was too good an opportunity to miss. The Buddha-Dhamma Fellowship launched an appeal and thanks to the generosity of many supporters the purchase was successful. Since taking possession in the spring of 2003 many people have developed their practice in its peaceful surroundings. Just a short walk from Santidhamma, Bhavana Dhamma provides convenient accommodation for our lay helpers and retreatants, and particularly for women and nuns.
Up to now of the original purchase price of £425,000 we still owe £25,000 in interest-free loans made by various worthy individuals and £66,000 to the bank. The costly bank loan is our first priority and we are understandably anxious to reduce that and to be free of it as soon as possible. Every donation, big or small, will be a great help!
